Rilandro (“Rysiu”) is a 4-year-old horse who made his competition debut in young horse classes. Before using the paste, he was, for his age, very sensitive to the show environment: he got wound up easily, lost concentration, and the stress was so strong that you could clearly feel his accelerated heartbeat under the saddle. Situations that were no problem at all in everyday work could overwhelm him at shows. This created unnecessary stress both for the horse and for me as the rider, as well as concerns about his health (ulcers, loss of appetite, tension).
