HEMPQUALIZER+ : OLIWIA

HEMPQUALIZER+ : OLIWIA

Some horses carry experiences for years that affect not only their behavior, but also how they respond to work, contact with the rider, and everyday training. In such cases, the issue is not always a lack of ability or “bad attitude,” but rather tension, stress, and deeply ingrained defensive reactions. The story of Oliwia, a 16-year-old pony-type mare, shows how complex riding-related difficulties can be and how important it is to provide support that helps the horse regain calmness, focus, and willingness to cooperate.

This case study describes several months of experience using Hempqualizer+ with a mare that had a history of behavioral issues, stress under saddle, difficulty accepting the bit, and previous health problems such as gastric ulcers and asthma. It is a story about a gradual return to greater comfort, better communication, and calmer work.

STORY FROM THE OWNER’S PERSPECTIVE

I’ve already used two packages of Hempqualizer+, so I’m happy to share my opinion (especially since I’m now reaching for another one).

Oliwia, 16 years old, mare, pony.

Oliwia’s story is quite complex. I bought her almost 7 years ago. She was a professional show jumper and was supposed to introduce me to the world of jumping. Later, it turned out she had many behavioral issues. Most of them we managed to overcome. However, throughout all this time, she struggled to accept the bit. We tried many things: riding in a hackamore, halter, bitless bridle, but it didn’t bring the expected results, as Oliwia was still stressed during riding. We also tried many supplements, but there was no significant change. A few years ago, she was diagnosed with ulcers and asthma. The ulcers are now healed, and the asthma has improved.

Our main problem was stress during riding, avoidance of contact, and lack of acceptance of the bit.

Previously, we used CBD or ChillOut from HorseLine. For asthma, we still use salt inhalations and herbs. For riding, I also use a calming mask and noise-reducing ear covers (for about a year now).

We have been using Hempqualizer+ for 3.5 months. From a mare that used to run off “like crazy,” she has become a calm pony. Visible changes: better focus, quicker relaxation, no signs of stress or trauma, and a greater willingness to cooperate. The issue of rushing forward still appears, but much less frequently and can be managed quickly. I administered Hempqualizer about an hour before riding. A 2 ml dose didn’t have much effect, so I increased it to 3 ml, which actually brought results. Currently, I only use the paste before jumping or more demanding training sessions. I believe the paste helped us “get back on track” and significantly improved our communication during riding. I also notice that her asthma symptoms are much milder, which I consider a big additional benefit. I’ve already recommended the product to several people at our stable.

When can Hempqualizer+ be helpful?

Hempqualizer+ can be helpful for horses that show elevated levels of stress, tension, or difficulty relaxing under saddle. This is especially relevant for horses with a history of behavioral problems, traumatic experiences, excessive reactivity, or difficulty accepting contact, rider aids, or equipment such as the bit.

The product may support horses that avoid contact during riding, struggle with focus, become overly stimulated, or remain tense for long periods. In such cases, its role is to help the horse achieve greater calmness, faster relaxation, and improved willingness to cooperate, without taking away the energy needed for work.

Hempqualizer+ can also be valuable support before more demanding training sessions, jumping, or situations that previously caused strong stress. In this way, it can help improve communication between horse and rider and support the horse in gradually moving away from ingrained tension-based reactions.
